Yoducha Rayonai adonai ro'i,
byom shabbat kodesh yom hash'vi'i.

Yom asher kilita vo kol m'lachtecha,
omar ki sarita al kol zulatecha,
uma'asim ein l'valotecha,
li ven amatecha chish l'hargi'i.

Sh'vi'i vacharta mikol minyanim,
v'oto kidashta b'shavu'ot v'shanim,
chish asher nasata l'geza emunim,
uf'dei mei'asonim ar'chi v'riv'i.

R'tzei vimnuchati yom zeh shel m'nucha,
uv'yom avodati hamtzei li harvacha,
v'hachein lishvitati mas'eit va'arucha,
v'sason v'simcha yiyeh sha'ashu'i.

El olam shekulo shabbat t'zakeini,
v'ner'cha b'hilo sim or ba'adeini,
v'el mishkan shilo ta'aleini,
m'heira aneini elohei yish'i.

Translation:

My thoughts praise You, Adonai, my shepherd, on this holy seventh day.

On the day on which you finished all of your work,
I say that you rule over all around you.
No deeds can cancel you out;
Rush to comfort me, son of your maidservant.

You chose the seventh day out of all counted days,
and it you sanctified in weeks and years,
Rush what you bear to the children of the faithful,
And redeem from misfortune my going and resting.

Be pleased with my rest on this day of rest,
And on my day of work bring me prosperity,
And prepare for my [day of] cessation gift and meal,
And may joy and happiness be my delight.

Make me worthy of a world which is all Shabbat,
And with your shining lamp provide me light,
And up to the sanctuary of Shilo raise me,
Answer me quickly, God of my salvation.

Translation based on that found in the Yedid Nefesh bencher, by Rabbi Josh Cahan. Used with permission.
