Translation:[May there] be peace in our walls, serenity in our congregation; with a good significance [does this] son come to us; in his days shall [the] redeemer come. | |
Information:One of the oldest still in use, the Sephardi song “Yehi Shalom Beħelenu” is sung all over the world right before a Brit Milah.
There are three versions: The Aleppo, the Yehoshua, and the modern. This version, the Aleppo, may be the oldest. (The different vowel lengths in this song are transliterated very precisely). | |
