לְמַעַנְךָ אֱ-לֹהֵינוּ


Lema’ancha Eloheinu, Aseh v’lo Lanu , re’eh amidateinu dalim v’reikim.

Han’shama lach, v’haguf po’olach, chusah al amalach.
לְמַעַנְךָ אֱ-לֹהֵינוּ עֲשֵׂה וְלֹא לָנוּ. רְאֵה עֲמִידָתֵנוּ דַּלִּים וְרֵיקִים:

הַנְּשָׁמָה לָךְ, וְהַגּוּף פָּעֳלָך, חוּסָה עַל עֲמָלָךְ:

Translation:

Do for Your sake, God, and not because of us; see that we are standing before you poor and empty.

The soul is Yours, and the body is Your creation, have mercy on the products of Your labor.
